Hi, I have a '92 hatchback. I've had it for about half a year, and so far, it seems to be falling apart. I'm looking for some opinions on whether or not I should build it up, or just sell it and buy a new one in better condition to start off with. Right now, the car runs alright, but has it's problems. I will post pics when i can. To list some off:

It needs a new exaust system.... The whole exaust system.

The engine is slowly going, and leaks oil all over the place ( but does it in a slow manner, just to piss me off)

It needs ATLEAST one new engine mount, haven't really looked that hard, but you can tell one Is needed.

The whole bottom back of the car was covered in body fill, a whole half inch of it, and then painted. ( I found this out from being side swiped and having a huge dent and chips of paint falling off)

There is two holes from rust on the bottom door of the hatch by the plate.

One of my rocker panels have a huge hole through it.

It needs a new front left fender.

As I said, there is now a huge dent in the side where I got hit.

And finally, I can't lock it from the inside, as all the locks broke.

So please give me some opinion on whether I should keep it and fix it up, or ditch it and buy a new one. I lovey car, but if i'm better off getting rid of it, so be it.

i vote sell it and find something in better condition. sounds like the cars been wrecked atleast once before and the only parts that really matter car falling apart. if it had a solid body i would have said just swap the motor. if it had a solid motor i would have said buy a shell and swap the motor. but in this case neither is true. just sell it.

Sell..
I should know,
Body work is a b***h and a half.
If anything, buy a clean shell,
replace every gasket and seal and swap your motor into it,
then save up for a gsr or something =D
Good luck!
