id like to have an oak baseball bat shaped knob and on the biger side so i could take it off and beat silly ricer kids that live by me

so my boot did not have a collar anyways i made my own which ill have to re do because i made too fat so ill fix that later i got started on a ball shaped one and its a prototype made out of cherry is just easier to turn ill add the finished pics as soon as i finish sanding and turning it tomorrow.

this is the collar in the lathe made out of purple heart it will look better with the finish

this is the sphere made out of cherry still attached to the lathe its a 2" ball

looks like they are coming along well. the horse bit in the background of the second pic adds a nice touch.

check it out i finished the cherry ball here is how it turned out. It is being compared to a ball of plastic that has a diameter of 2"

I like them. I think you should round off or taper in some way the bottoms of the first few posted.

I had an acoustic guitar made from Bubinga, that would tits as a shift knob.

all of the prototypes are just being made of stuff that is laying around the shop..........wen i do get going on this they will be made from figured woods, or wat ever the custumer wants i will make some out of mohagony and burled walnut im making one out of white oak that im gonna stain it ebony or a dark mohagony color but thanks for all the input if you have any suggestions for a knob please im all for it ill post a pic of the cherry ball wen i add finish to it...... one of the other reasons why I used the cherry is because the cherry is very easy to turn.... but ebony is really expensive and its now illegal to harvest it because of they over harvest it and became endangered but if i can get a hold of it isure will make some.
