I'm completly new to all this car stuff. I have a 1998 Honda Civic. I've been having a problem with the engine shutting off randomly and without warning. Also sometimes when i start it, the car cuts off within seconds. Any Ideas? If it helps at all my SRS lights beeps about 4 or 5 times when starting the car. It didnt use to do that.

maybe your ignition coil. Same thing happened to my teggy. on the other side of your ignition (opposite of where key goes) unscrew the little screws off and check that round white plastic peice. Should be like a metal or aluminum part in the middle of the round white plastic, you can stick a screw driver in there turn it and the car will start right up. That white piece pops right out. Try Replace that part.:?:
