My new Playtoy :) My 00 Coupe is gone

Hey guys, havent been on in awhile, long story short i was on my way home from work on night when we were getting one of our 3!!! massive snow storms this year and hit a slick spot of ice and went into a curb, i was distraught because i had just gotten my new ls/vtec swap done and not even a week later wrecked it due to a slick patch of ice from the heavy snow. So insurance company gave me 3360 to play with....

I wasnt gonna deal with something like this happening again so i bought myself a beater that runs perfect for 500 then bought myself this clean 94 civic ex shell with a bunch of goodies. Well i sold my other motor exhaust and took the leftover money i had and started myself a turbo build with this new play toy of mine. Heres some pics, granated a lot of parts arent pictured and its not been painted yet so dont be too harsh, lol But tell me what you guys think, picked the shell up for under 1500.

Ha thanks guys, I cant wait for this new car to be done, i still miss my other car but it didnt get totaled, it was more that as time passed i decided it was time for something new, you can look in my old build thread but i had that car for 4 years and well you guys know how new stuff is so much fun, haha.
I hope to have this car running in 2 weeks but it wont see the road for quite some time after well because its trapped in a garage thats surrounded by 4 feet of SNOW!!!!. Im in Maryland, not Buffalo, lol, this is crazy.

Thanks man, it should be running in about 2 weeks, as i was saying above its snowed in pretty good in the garage that its in so it might be another month before it even sees the streets lol

Yeah dude, its depressing. We've had 4 snow storms in a span of 8 days. One dumped 4 inches when we werent supposed to get anything, another 2 days later dropped another 6" then we got hammered the next sat with 25". To make matters worse that following Tuesday, yes 3 days later, lol, we got another 22" of freaking snow and this one was a blizzard. Were up to like 80" of snow this year and more is on the way i hear. My car might never be done
But to answer your question my goal is to make 350+whp. It might not seem like a lot but this is my first turbo build and i wanna get used to driving a boosted car first before i build a massive setup altho this turbo is rated for like 680hp lol

This was actually on the car when i got it. Its a password JDM lip and i looked it up, even according to their website its made for an eg, lol
Heres the link if you dont believe me, i know its not a crappy ebay one because fitment is perfect and it hugs the bumper and doesnt fall off even when the screws arent in it

Knew better? Just like Ek's i like Eg's with lips and it fits good and lines up good, its made for the car, i think it makes the car look better with the front mount and fogs, but everyone is entitled to their opinion, you think they look bad on the car, i think they look good

Just cause it claims its a type r lip replica means it doesnt belong on the car? lol Its just words man, once again you have your opinion i have mine, a lot of people have them and i happen to like this lip over the crappy mugen style lips or any other that doesnt form with the bumper. I get at what your saying but it fits well, i like it and idc what title it has but its staying on there...
And btw i knew no type r was made for eg's or that they didnt come into production until 96 and only in hatches and Japan. Like i said i didnt buy the lip it came with the car and i happen to like it. Im not trying to start an argument so please end it here, you dont like it ok, you made your point, i just started this thread id rather not have it fill up with you saying you THINK it doesnt belong on the car cause it has a type r title

Thanks, um lets see, right now just little things because of all the snow thats pilied up right now, lol
I picked up my b18b1 the other day and just pulled it apart and everything looks good actually, the dude said it was a 99 and that it only had 55k on it and im thinking he mighta been right because theres almost no carbon build up. Im replacing bearings installing rodbolts inspecting oil pump replacing all gaskets then throwing on a Jdm b16 head. The head needs to goto the machine shop tho to be cleaned up and port matched so im prolly still 2 weeks away from the car running. Some people seem to be against ls/vtec's but ive had 3 and the first 2 were very quick and held up on me perfect. I have all my parts to finish this project but it just needs time right now. Once the motor is put together we need to fab a downpipe since im using a top mount manifold but other then that it will be downhill from there. Im taking the car to JK tuning for the tune and i have every reason to believe he can make this setup just as reliable as all motor because the tune is everything. My first na ls/vtec he pulled 193whp out of it and that was a mostly stock motor.
