DC Power Socket Loose?

hey folks, i have a 96 civic and the dc power socket which is under the radio just popped out yesterday. i was charging my phone and when i went to pull it out the entire plug came out. its still attached but how do i get it to stay in its spot now? if anyone has em a pdf of how to remove the panel over the plug would be helpful. ty in advance

got ya

had the same problem a while back pullin out an ipod adapter. just came right out with it. unfortunately you have to remove the entire bottom side of the dash, as some of the screws for the mid section were located behind other parts. i started with the side panel inside the drivers door, then underneath the steering wheel. then around the glove compartment. once you have those off, the screw for the center section will be exposed, undo those, re tighten it, and then reassemble. good luck

Remove the panel and simply screw the ring back on to the back of the outlet. You can use a tiny bit of thread lock to keep it from happening again.

x2 what I did.. I went to unplug my GPS and the whole damn thing came out
