PS3 owners: Beware.. UPDATE: PS3 NO LONGER has an error

See, I get my RROD fixed for $20 in one hour while I watch from a local craigslister and get a 6 month warranty with it. So RROD really isn't an issue for me.

and even if it were, twice in 4.5 years isn't too shabby.. considering I went through 4 ps2s.

what exactly were you inserting into those PS2's??

you're always going to have people that like one over the other. I tried an original xbox years ago, had it for like 3 days and returned it. Bought a PS1 and been a PS fan ever since. There are only a handful of games on the xbox360 that are not available on the PS3 that I have interest in. I don't have the time to game alot these days anyways, and I do own a few blu-rays, so the choice for me is the PS3. I think the PS3 is the superior machine and it's full potential has yet to be tapped into, but I guess only time will tell.... and with this new glitch, the PS3 has gained a 10 year advantage on the xbox

This is my issue with the PS3. Its full potential hasn't been tapped into because it costs too much for game developers to tap into it. Therefor, it's full potential is absolutely worthless. A system is only as good as the games that can be played on it. I was a ps fan up until the 360 came out.... and for now, playstation just isn't hacking it for me. To each their own, but until ps starts coming out with some higher quality games, it's going to continue to collect dust in my collection.

On the other hand, I do plan on getting around to Uncharted 2 at some point. I loved the first one.

I think the 360 is a good console, i wanted a ps3 now, but i don't see the point in blowing money on ANOTHER console since i'm in college now and hardly play games. What i like about the 360 is that it can be hacked.

judgment based solely on games?

I own both and play them both fairly evenly. They can't be compared. PS3 is good for certain things, while 360 the others. Specifically, shooters aren't the greatest on PS3 while driving/hack-n-slash are way better.

... but good thing Bioshock 2 has had my xbox constantly on for the last month or so.

Any news on whether this problem was remedied and safe to ignore?
