No hes not "sold' on it, there were definitely some things wrong with it that he failed to mention...before we drove 2.5 hours up there.

Its missing a subframe brace, not sure if im calling this part by the correct name but heres an an attempt at an explanation. The gap between the wheel and the fender is wider on one side because this "subframe support/brace" is missing. It causes the car to pull slightly to the right when driving (feels similar to if the car needed an alignment). Camber was still fine, didnt look to have caused an uneven tread wear.

The front bumper doesnt fit correctly even after he had the frame pulled.
It doesnt have a front grill
The sway bars aren't attached (removed for winter)
His ABS is still not hooked up
Tiny spot of rust on the rear quarter panel (drivers side)
Tiny scratches on drivers side rear door (could be buffed out im guessing)

Satt is hopefully going to bring it to a subaru dealership up there this week and have it looked at. On the sellers behalf he was a very nice guy, just seems like he rushed this fix...

Good things - tranny feels like butter and it pulls like a mother fu*ker. The first time i floored it it took my breath away, I was left laughing like a complete fool. The speed is intoxicating

Damn, most def a TON of stuff he failed to mention....

Honestly, if I were Satt, I wouldnt even bother taking it in. I'd pass. So many problems.

Besides, STi's are popping up on the cheap these days. I'd wait it out.

12k that's not bad, specially if it can be brought back to factory status at no cost.

has the car been abused?

no idea, it is a great price and the engine/trans felt great. It was in an accident with frame damage, the guy bought it as a fixer upper. my buddy isnt going to get it just because there was waaay more stuff wrong with it than he said originally. Its a damn good project for someone but there was just alot of little stuff wrong.

oh word... yea, i don't think i can buy a car with frame damage. if i did, it would have to be for a part out.
