Battlefield Bad Company 2

I still havent gotten a chance to play the Single Player, but I will soon. I doubt that the MW2 is better. Honestly the MW2 Campaign was good, but I expected more.
Battlefield has always been more technical than CoD. Here you can't go running around shooting people like crazy as you would in CoD. This is a strategy and team oriented game (as all Battlefield games).
Now the reason for that grenade not blowing up the shed, is due to Destruction 2.0. For example, in BC1 you could knife a wooden fence and it will destroy all of it. Here, however, only a chunk gets destroyed. You can make holes on walls to poke your gun out and shoot through there while still having the rest of the wall covering you. Its because of this, that the shed didnt blow up completely, throw a rocket launcher at it and I'm sure you'll see it in pieces.
As for blowing up houses in BC1, you can still do that here. Matter of fact, here you can bring the building down to the floor and destroy it completely. Oh and it does not disappear, you will see the debris laying there for the rest of the game and you can climb and hide within the debris - a good tactical idea to sneak around and be hard to spot.

at the time i made this thread... it was to be released then.... i already have it as well... i got it midnite that nite.
yup^^ ive started the campaign and its nothing like CoD's i cake walkd throught MW2's campaign on Vetren because its run and gun no tacticts to the fight. i can say BC2 is harder in campaign and online but if u have a good squad based team then you should manage just fine. i played MW2 just a bit ago and it seems so arcade-ish....makes me sad cuz i DID love that game

I just want to start out saying that the game it's self is very impressive. The graphics are stunning and the new destruction engine is very sweet.
What kind of pisses me off though is that it only took 10 hours or so to run through the single campaign. $60 and I am done with the game is less than a day. I bought it launch day and was done with it 2 days later. That was after collecting every weapon and destroying all the comm boxes in single. Replay value doesn't seem to be that high for single campaign, especially since it only took 15 hours to even go through and find all their is. That includes the first playthrough.
For those of us that aren't into the online part of it, $60 is way too much to throw down. I should have waited.

Now I have to cross my fingers and hope to make $50 back by selling it on eBay. =(

You can say the same thing about MW2 though, I passed the campaign super fast and it was short.

I hear ya. To be honest, I haven't bought MW2 because of what you stated. I have heard from everyone that I have talked to about it that the single campaign is extremely short.
Online is very big right now, but hopefully in the future they will make a few of these that are catered towards us that are only into the single campaigns. I can only dream.
Why dont you like playing online? BC2 has so much to offer for multiplayer, its crazy.
Maybe the new Medal of Honor that's coming out will have a longer campaign mode for you single players, we'll see. I know that DICE is taking part in it, so we can expect deconstruction 2.0 on there as well (I hope).

Well, it can't hurt to check it out in any case. It isn't like it is going to cost me anything.
I just never got into online. Tried it in the past and it was annoying with all of the super geeks that have the high stats and me going in fresh it was too outweighed. Got wasted within seconds every time I logged in and there was too many people running around with the super weapons that gave you no chance or the guys that run out of the shadows knifing the whole time. Too one sided and not fun if you are starting fresh and thrown in the pool with the vets.
Might have to check it out though, like I said, it can't hurt.
I say give it a try whenever you can 
The online gameplay is pretty fair actually. Its nothing like MW2 where you have people sitting in corners with shotguns and doing a hundred other gay things. Just take a minute to learn the map and you should do fine.
