What is your most embarrassing car related story?

C'mon guys, I know everyone has one. A moment of complete idiocy that you'll never live down.
I'll start. First day I got my civic, I went to check the oil and fill it up but I was so excited I stuck the dipstick into the oil fill hole in the vc with my friends watching. As soon as I noticed what happened I about s**t. Your turn!

i was power braking my z28 in the school parking lot tryin to be a bad ass and poped the drive shaft out, everyone was like ooooooooo s**t, facepalm

I was driving the civic not even a week after I got it. My left hand was in a cast due to totaling my crx a week earlier. I saw this hot guy(now an ex lol) and waved to him w/ the left hand totally forgetting I was in a cast. So instead it looked like a claw and I was pawing at my window up and down instead of back and forth. I definitely saw him laugh at me and I definitely threw it back into 2nd and took off.

May not be embarrassing to boys, but to me it was embarrassing as hell.

First day I got my car, I drove it to my friends house and I was a noob at shifting a manual then, and some idiot tried racing me. So i though i'd be cool and race him, turns out i missed every gear and kept going. I could just see him laughing at me super hard.

Lol, both great stories. If I broke my car in the school parking lot I would cry! People look forward to me showing off lol. And That's not just a girl story, I've embarrassed myself in front of plenty of girls while driving. They can be very distracting! ...and cause you to pop your clutch.

00_Civic_Ex that happened to me in my friends STi.. They have really quick short clutches compared to hondas and this truck tried racing me, I was in first and shifted to second mid boost and missed the grab point so the car just about hopped off the ground.. They yelled "learn to shift!" and I sunk into the seat haha.

I was running late for golf practice one day back in high school and when I finally got to the course there was only one spot left...pinned between an F350 and a lifted nissan titan. I was driving my 91 accord sedan at the time and bumping my paul wall sittin sidewayz and thought since my whole team was watching me pull in, I should whip into the spot really fast. I pulled in way too fast and ran into one of the huge f**kin tires on the titan. Luckily it just left a scuff mark on my car and didn't do any damage to the tire. It rocked the truck back and forth and damnit did I look/feel like a f**ktard in front of all of my golf buddies and all of the old guys at the golf course.

i'd have been that girl who ran up to you pointing and laughing then ran and told the owner of the titan, laughing even more. b/c i was meeeeeeeeeaaaaaan in HS. lord, that was 10years ago. :(

it was my first date with my ex and we were on our way to the movies. I was driving on a 55 mph highway and i was staring at her (mesmerized by her beauty) i stared for like 15 secs without looking at the road and i ended up running off the road and almost hit a mailbox...
