38K for a f**king cop car?? wow thats stupid
most cop cars cost over $100k, the crown vic's. I really don't think very many will get the SHO, 95% will be the regular 3.5L but that is still faster than the old V8 ones. The only downside to the cars is that they weigh 4500 lbs so they suck for handling and braking.

smh taking advantage of tax dollars where there is no breathing room for it.
I agree it is a waste but the old cruisers they claim can't keep up, around me they have hemi chargers now.

Wrong. You people really need to stop posting bullshit out of your ass statistics.

The MSRP for a Crown Victoria Police Interceptor in 1999 was $22,000.
The MSRP for a 2010 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor is $27,000.

Um, how do you figure that?

Police order Crown Victoria Interceptor, they don't order a used Crown Victoria THEN put the police s**t on it.
No Police Interceptor only means its been structurally reinforced and chipped. When a Department buys a police interceptor its plain white and empty (possibly has a prisoner cage in the back) but the lights, sirens, computer, radio, and the "guts" are all installed by the department.

I was stating that police don't order a USED crown Victorian THEN put the equipment in. I know they don't order a Police Interceptor off the showroom floor and have it fully equipped. It also doesn't cost them 80,000 for that equipment.
