oh, and I AM NOT going to be doing this for anyone else... I'm sure if I got a lot better at it, MAYBE. As I enjoy working on cars, but I'm not a fan of interior work. ;)

That's wierd post some pics and I'll check it out.
The reason my seats are so full and contoured is because I used
1/2" padding.

I didn't use 1/2" padding.. I only used 1/4" "upholstery" padding from the store, in the same locations as the factory seats, the middle of each side. I'm going to pull the seat apart as the backside is easy to remove and I will take some pictures to show you.

JDM_SPEC_SI-R,
Where's a good place to obtain a "foot" feed machine for upholstery?

this is the exact one i used. http://cgi.ebay.com/Industrial-Sewing-Machine-Straight-Stitch-Juki-DDL-5550_W0QQitemZ230453541084QQcmdZViewItemQQptZBI_Sewing_Machines?hash=item35a819f8dc

i would say go to the store, like a fabric store where they sell sewing machines and ask them if they have any sewing machines that can handle thick materials.

there are some machines out there that are house hold style usage that can do some pretty think material. its just a matter of finding them. the juki machine is made specifically for stuff like this. is industry style, thats why its so expensive..... but very much worth it.

upholstery machine.... your grandmas sewing machine will make your s**t come out like a pile of monkey s**t thrown in your face. although, some home sewing machines have the capabilities to handle really thick material. so it can be possible with the right setup at home.
