Removing Headliner?

I redoing the interior to black and I'm trying to remove the headliner from 97 EX Coupe. I have looked through the "How To" section and only found the panel removals (pretty self explanatory) but can't find any information about the headliner.

Does anyone have info on how to remove the headliner and sunroof liner so they can be refinished? The entire interior is currently stripped down to metal except the roof. Any info would be great!

>EDIT<

This is the process:

If you're this far, you should have the side panels and pillar covers already off. It makes the last few step VERY easy!

I removed the dome light first:
Just take off the cover and there are 2 8MM nuts that you remove

Then I took off the "coat hanger" in the rear seat. This is a little bit of a pain as the cover of the phillips screw didn't want to come off

Next, remove the "Oh Sh!t handle" - Just pop the two covers and reveal 2 phillips screws

Here I took off the visors next. Just 2 Torx Bit screws in each.

I DID NOT GET PICTURES OF THE CLIP BRACKET FOR THE VISORS. On the back side of the clip, there is an opening. Insert flat head and twist THE CLIP (not the flat head) counter clockwise. They pop right out.

The rear view was fun too. Just pry it off with your muscles! It will reveal 3 more phillips screws:

Remove the lining around the edge of the sun roof and it should fall right down. I did find that if you take it out through the passenger side, it's a bit easier. Any questions, let me know. I'm recovering my in black leather. I'll post pictures soon.

I haven't found any thing on Honda-Tech either. I posed a similar listing on their 92-00 Civic Forum for a possible answer as well. I just don't want to start ripping up interior pieces that may not be able to be easily replaced.

I'll try that out when I get home. Thanks for the info.

Oh, and at this point, it looks like I would have to remove the entire sunroof to remove the sliding cover to have it refinished as well... Looks like that will have to be another adventure as this is getting tiring.... And I'm learning how to recover the arm rests as well :

(first attempt on the left, and last on the right.... that's a learning curve of sewing! haha)

And the arm rest, final product... It will have to do for now... The stitching isn't perfect but for about $1.75 in leather ($20/yd) and a small amount of thread, it will do the trick.

The new black interior is looking MUCH better than the "gray-blue" that it was. Gluing the headliner tomorrow!

yeah, it looked so good, i was getting excited.
sorry, all the pictures I took of the headliner finished look dark and pixelated... I'll take some this evening and post them... I wasn't able to recover the sunroof "door" that slides open, so there are still some light gray accents to make it look SOMEWHAT like it was supposed to be that way... lol

headliner writeup

I was going to answer, but looks like someone else already beat me to it. If you need pictures, I redid my headliner last summer, took pictures of each step, and did an entire writeup. I have it on my computer, so I'll post it if anyone needs it. I did not do the sunroof yet, because I have not had the time, but you have to remove it from the outside starting with the glass.(slide it open)

That leather looks nice. That's the look I want, but I can't sew. I just got got some cheap black fabric from Walmart. measured, and cut, and installed. It doesn't look cheap though, and actually looks good.
