What is your horsepower goal if you're building it for boost? It's definitely cheaper to rebuild than swap unless you want to swap it out for a DOHC..

my goal is to have at least 350whp. cuz its my daily driven car. i thought of swapping a b18c1 but thats too common and i like the way the d16 motor runs and pull. thats just my opinion. u think how much will this rebuild will cost me just a ballpark figure?

i know its possible. Its been done, not a big deal. We tune single cams all the time, infact we hold the record for whp on vitara pistons with stock sleeves...600+

Show me one person that has 350whp on a DAILY d-series, and I mean daily. Not a weekend show/track car. I'm not saying it's impossible to make 350whp, I'm saying it's just plain stupid to push it that high on a DD car.

one of our techs has a daily driven d series that makes 400+. people who say it cant be done obviously have no idea what they are talking about.

you wont have traction anyways on a DD with 350... so lets keep it realistic.
just because you make 350 dosent mean you have to go wot everytime you drive. i dont rev past 4k driving my car on the street.

it CAN be done I WOULDNT DO IT just saying do what you want though op. if you want your car to last i would make sure that your motor is tore down and rebuilt to make that much hp

well your inexpierence would cause it to fail, horribly. OP, take it from the people who have done it. People are always going to say building a d series is dumb, but its easy and cheap to make more power than your adverage b series build.

Lol and? I can show you countless videos/dyno sheets of d-series motors making well over 350whp, doesn't mean they are in any way reliable. PLUS 109 octane and 25 psi coming out of that turbo, I seriously doubt that it's a daily driven car...
jesus christ, is it that hard to believe that people can make reliable power on a d series? It has been proven, and are just as reliable as anyother properly built and tuned set up.
