You should get a different theta II motor for the yongin.

She would love a genesis motor.

The 2.0t makes 210 hp

I think your crazy going Kia especially when you had a dope lookin sti, but life happens and you gotta make the choices you make.

Good luck with her.

I was actually looking at the Genesis turbo, and by looking at the engine platform, I think I can draw out way more power out of this Koup.

If I could find a USDM ITR, I would've totally been all over it but they're harder than s**t to find around this area. Plus, I picked up the car with factory warranty PLUSSS they threw in an extended powertrain warranty up to 6 years or 100k miles for FREE!

I was actually the first person to pick up a Koup at this dealership in town. They only had 3 available and I picked up the only one with the least amount of miles (4 miles) which I'm pretty sure only had 1 other person test drive it. But anyways, everything seemed to well when I picked it up!

all i'm saying is that it's a crappy displacement to power ratio.
agreed all I'm saying is they are 2 completely different cars

and to compare an ITR which for a mass production vehicle has one of the hightest HP/displacement you can achieve with a korean car is just silly.

even my mass produced 1.6 civic has 160 hp. That's 13hp less than a 2.4L.

Or even the ex, that has 130hp for a 1.6L. At that same ratio, the 2.4L should have 195hp.

Ehhhhhhhh.

So I've done more research and found that these motors are great for top end performance; has a lot of hidden potential in it! There's a guy with a bolt on 50 trim turbo, stock motor, reflashed ecu (you can retune existing ecu, no need for standalones yesss!) and makes 360whp @ 14psi. Not a bad jump in power if I must say...

My bad, I meant 260whp @14psi; this was a custom turbo kit and self tuned.
