Glad I found you guys, I bought a 4x4 wagovan yesterday for a grand in cherry condition 147k- minus a bent driver-side fender and busted signal cover, before that I didn't even know they existed. I think I'll follow along.- hey If anyone has those parts, I have money...
Alaska? My goodness... a 4x4 Wagovan in Alaska. What is the world coming to? =)

And then some.

To keep everybody updated: I've bought a 1986 Ford F250 diesel pickup that I've been working on. It's been taking my time, plus this week I've had off work I've been sick most every day. It's been quite awful actually, my planned time to tidy up loose ends and I'm in bed and vomiting. Not good! :(

I've had some additional plans for the Wagovan. I was curious what people would think. One day I was surfing the web and came across a convertible picture of a Renault that looked quite similar to the Wagovan in the front. It got me to thinking, what about an extreme mod? Something which creates a new creation:

A Wago-Coupe?

The idea is to make the back not exactly like a hatchback, but it will go up and come off. It will extend upward to give a more Wagovan-like appearance. But, when traveling, it will be this bubbly shape to reduce air resistance. The bottom is also streamlined, the fenders cut out a few inches to allow for the bigger wheels, etc.

Any thoughts?

Getting ready to work on the car this week. It's been a long time, but with the vacation I'll have ... it shall be done. :-)
