wats wrong with my tailights?

i put in new tailights and i knew some of the bulbs were burned out so i replaced them but i nticed that the right tailight didnt work when i applied the breaks and the light for it stayed on, then i noticed that everytime i applied the brake the light for the signal word come on, on my gauges? wtf is wrong?

The brake light bulb should have two filaments, one for the brakes and one for the taillight. You may have installed a single rather than double filament bulb.

+1, I had new tail lights and on the dual-filament sockets there's a third wire with activates the brake signal and if that's loose it may not work, I believe it's the green wire (atleast on my 95). I had that problem.

Do you know what the difference is between a single and double filament light bulb?
