Sounds fine. This is normal.

Which lights are you talking about?

when hot i have no control with the switch except for the headlights.

No control of what?
The head lights, brakes lights, and hazard lights should work whether or not the key is in the ignition. This is normal. The turn signals should only work with the key in ON(II). So what exactly is the problem?

talking about the side markers.

with the key ON, the side markers and tail lights come on (as if i turned them on if it was getting dark out)without me touching the headlight combo switch.

they turn on as soon as i turn the key.

the last thing i did before i noticed this was an after market head unit.

Oh okay.

Does turning the key to ON(I)/ACC or ON(II) cause the parking lights/taillights to turn on?

Does removing dash fuse #19 prevent the parking lights/taillights from turning on when the key is turned?

yes

My guess would be that you accidentally spliced the Red/Blk wire for the taillights etc. to the Yel/Red power wire for the radio. If this were true, then removal of fuse 19 would not prevent the taillights etc. from turning on with the key.
