My brother was telling me that you could just pull something out, but I didn't know what he ment. If it's difficult, i'm not gunna waste my time doing it. If it's a simple pull out, sure why not.

just to clear the confustion

from my own experience...

there are two types of remotes that work with 96-02? hondas, one has the option key and one doesn't, both work just fine with most honda cars that has build-in keyless entry. So if you happen to have the one with option key than you'll be able to turn of/on the beep sound by pressing both lock and option key for 3 secs.

Originally I bought my 99 Civic LX without keyless remote , but after some research; i figured that i just need to buy a remote and program it. I went on ebay and pick it up for like $30 or something, this one had the option button and i was able to turn off/on the beeping, but after sometime the remote stopped working and I had to order another one, this came in with no option button. The one with no option button is FCC ID: A269ZUA106 and the one with option button is A269ZUA101 I believe. They go for $25-50 on ebay. Good luck!

How much money do you have?:D

The beeper is part of the integrated control unit plugged into the rear of the dash fuse box. The beeper is a reminder for you to put on your seat belt and to take the key out of the ignition when you leave the car. I am sworn by an oath to the Civic gods not to tell members how to disable safety devices.=)

Hate to say it, but you told him how to disable it when you said where it was located. :-)
