Personally, id rather have a w6, still loud and a bit cleaner than a w7.

BUT im not much of a pay for the name fan either (JL)

There are plenty of other subs out there that are up to par if not better (SQ WISE, and SPL) than JL audio.

W7= loud and clean VERY EXPENSIVE
W3=cleaner than a W6 but not as loud
W6=louder than a W3 but not as clean
its always a win win situation with JL stuff...but i sell it all day long i personally love my W3 with a 500/1 JL amp!!

Makes no sense

you do know that the w6v2 is regarded as one of the best sq subs on the market right?

Personally, i'd stay away from jl..but if u already have the 8w7, keep it..it's a good sub.

if not, u can purchase something better for the money.

Something better for the money, or something as good for less.

well whats a better sub? I want somthing small that wont take up alot of space. I also only want to do 1 sub. I already have a phonix gold qx350/2 that i can bridge to 350rms. and i would like to use that amp to keep the price down.

This amp does 350rms bridged at 4ohm, which is good. BUT you never want to under-power a sub, so here are a few subs i found in that wattage range that will perform excellent with many types of music. (not posted in any order) i would reccomend the jbl, as i own one and can say it hits hard for rap, and performs excellent with double bass for rock, and hits very clean as well.

This diagram shows how you would wire the sub to your amp.

go kicker, i have a 12 inch kicker comp (discountinued i believe but can still find on ebay) with a 300 watt kicker amp in my Trailblazer (im gunna be putting it in the civic later on down the road) but its a great one, hits nicley but isnt too crappy, has good clarity in the bass, i also recomend MTX subs, i installed some in a few of my friends cars (audis, civic, bemers) and they are very nice

Kicker is good for loud on a budget, My friend had 2 cvr's in his civic with the 750.1 amp, very loud, you could hear him a few blocks away, but thats all it was, loud.

the box is very important. gotta run certain cubic feet to get the subs full potential. you also gotta decide sealed or ported. look into companies such as mmats pro audio or soundstream even
