A few of you may know that My car used to be equipped with some ricer-lights (see pic below.) Well, the other day I was driving home from a friend's house late at night, around 11:30. Traffic was nonexistent, so I was doing a casual 25 in a 45 (chill mode) A city cop was posted up beside some bushes, and I didn't think anything of it. About a mile down the road where the speed limit jumps to 65, I got on it pretty hard. About the same time, the previously mentioned cop comes out of nowhere with his lights on. I pulled over, expecting a lecture about unsafe acceleration (in a civic, lol) or disturbing the peace or something.
First thing the officer says as I hand him my info is, "Are you a cop?" I say no, and he points out that I'm displaying blue lights in my grille. Anyway, he goes on about emergency vehicles and whatnot, writes me a ticket, and gets called out for a wreck.
I've called the county clerk's office around 15 times since then, and still haven't been able to contact her. I'm not sure how much the ticket will be, but I don't really care now. I looked up the state laws just now, and found out that blue lights are legal, just no flashing blue. Hopefully i can get a hold of the clerk today after school and discuss my findings.
I got rid of the lights the next day, they are in the trunk now.. I needed lights back there anyway.
This was also my 12th time to be pulled over, first time to ever get a ticket. It was bound to happen some day.
