best place to ground amp

i was wondering where the best place is on a 96-00 civic coupe to ground my amp. The wires were already installed when i bought the vehicle but i can tell im in need a better ground.

Doesn't really matter where as long as 1) the wire is the same gauge as the power wire, 2) as short as possible, and 3) the spot you are grounding to is minus any paint, rust, etc. I use a ground block to cut down on the wire and bolts into the floor. You ground the block and then run a wire off it to each amp and what ever else needs grounded near the components.

Exactly. I'm curious where you have it grounded now and why it needs to be changed tho.

The cool guy that had the car before me had it grounded to the bolt for the tail lights lol I took it off quik

don't ground to anything near an electrical source. you'll get interference and noise. i recommend the seat belt bolts under the rear seats
