Easy to work on. Cheap parts. Cheap to own. Reliable if you take care of it. I don't see a down side.

Guys, I understand about Mustangs, but I can't afford the gas. I need a DD, not a speed demon mobile. I'm buying a Civic and that's final. Believe me, I love Mustangs, but can't afford it right now.

Well since Admins & mods are pushing our post Civic beliefs in here

2-3k for a miata
4k complete turbo kit

250WHP in 2100lbs 34mpg

Not like it matter since Walking has said numerous times that he has no desire for speed or to race

Exactly, but I'm not really a fan of driving Miatas. Don't get me wrong, their nice cars, but when I drove one, I wasn't a fan.

right.. TOTALLY get it.. BUT what i foresee is the purchase of a civic and then a month.. two months.. 4 months.. whenever.. but it WILL come "what intake for my civic.. " "what exhaust for my civic.." people say this and that.. but then end up modding the car anyway..

so again back to what i was saying.. if you are just getting the honda due to MPG and over all reliability.. it is a GREAT choice.. but if you are getting the car to modify there are other choices IMO..

and i am certainly NOT pushing any non-Honda car due to a dislike of Hondas, but MORE so from the standpoint of having gone from a Honda to another car, that in some areas has more potential IMO...

but from the standpoint of just driving.. maybe improving suspension.. and basic drivability... Hondas ARE pretty fun cars.. coupled with great reliability AND gas mileage..

IMO Civic is a great car when you're 19 since you're bound to f**k it up, I'm glad I didn't have a nice ride at that age. But that's just me...

7th gen is fine if you don't want to mod it. They're reliable, comfortable and cheap.

Get a 91 CRX and swap a B16 or turbo the D lol. My CRX shames my RSX in so many ways but it's not nearly as comfortable.

@obracer, are you talking about the 7th gen with ur pros and cons?
@oc_civic, I don't plan on heavily modding my car. I don't have tools or the space to do it. maybe exhaust, rims, tint, intake. Small stuff, you know?
@Shane, exactly why I'm not buying a $15,000 car.
@LowNotSlow, not a fan of CRXs. Plus, if the car lasts me for a long time, then I might plan on boosting, idk yet. That's why I'm leaning towards the 6th gen, but still not decided.

I'm going to go test drive the 6th gen today if I can.

lol.

Well, got some news, those two civics I posted here are out of the question. I will never go back to that dealership again. Ever. I go there, go in, and the guy asks me "What can I do for you?" I said "I saw that you had a 2000 red civic coupe online for sale..." He interrupts me and says "Well, it's right there in front of your eyes. Can't you see it?" (I could see it and did see it) I asked "Could I possibly take it for a test drive?" He says "I'm not letting anyone of your age sit in it without money in hand, let alone, drive it." I said "f**k you and go to hell" and walked out. I have never been treated worse than right then and I used to work as a telemarketer. My god.
