seriously though, what do you think people who were brought here when they were small kids and now are grown ups and didn't have a choice about coming here should do?
i think that if they are legally here they should make the best they can out of the amazing gift of NOT having to live a substandard life.. they should honor the struggle of their family and strive to succeed.. if they are illegally here.. they should leave.. and work on trying to legally come here..

so your saying that they should go to a country that they know nothing about, other than they have family there and that's about it, because not all know their native language, don't have any documentation from that country, graduated in the states, and now they have to move there to try to make it back here legally, when the chances of being able to come back legally are super slim?

why not, if you are an immigrant here you can not have more than one baby, (because of the people in america inflation), and try our best to not let anyone else in?

its a tough call but what can you do... how can you prove it? maybe if you can establish that they have lived a law abiding life paid taxes and participated as an American citizen then maybe allow them a legal path to citizenship... BUT the ONLY instance that i can see this just is if there is SOME way to PROVE you came here as a minor...

I know illegal immigration is a huge affecting problem to the U.S., but in my opinion there are other ways to fix this, not by sending all illegal immigrants back. Not all illegal immigrants are f**ked up.

it is the first option as you described.. what is the law.. the law is that a police officer when investigating you for some reason (pulled over, got in fight, etc..) can verify you are legally in this country... and if you are not he can arrest you.. which is good.. it does NOT mean they are making "Latino" check points.. or anything similar.. that would obviously be ridiculous.. but in fairness.. and just being honest.. if YOU are in fact Mexican and get pulled over for speeding he MIGHT check and see if you are legal.. since I am "white" he will likely not.. this is OBVIOUSLY racial profiling.. BUT it is also obviously LOGICAL.. and THAT is why some people are bitching.. because it is easier to make excuses and argue, than own up to the truth of the situation..

to be honest the more i think about it.. i think that ILLEGALS would be something that immigrants who are LEGALLY here would find insulting.. in the sense that it tarnishes their heritage and name and makes people question them.. kind of in the same sense that dbag civic owners make the rest of us Honda enthusiasts look bad..
x2

but also, when it comes to racial profiling, there are some folks here in the states that are not hispanics, they might be from Europe or their appereance might be as a "white" man, but they are illegal. How would the cops approach that situation? or they get a free pass?
It might be a little more complicated this whole profiling crap

:werd: this is my stand. unfortunately naturalization is a federal issue, not a state issue. which is why obama needs to get on the ball.

i just meant relevant to AZ.. i mean im sure that MAYBE there is ONE illegal russian hiding out there.. but statistically its going to be people south of the border..

i am all for NATIONWIDE ENFORCEMENT ACROSS THE BOARD.. all races.. all elasticities.. the ones we really have to also root out are those middle eastern extremists.. get them ALL out.. i almost wonder if you took ALL the trash out i almost wonder if there would be so much more room made that you could then loosen up immigration a bit and let more people come in for the first few years to try to even it out..

states have a right to make up their own laws...
a law would not be allowed if it violated a US citizens rights..
these are foreign invaders so they do not have the same "civil rights" you and I do...

AZ is going to run them the hell out.. and hopefully other states will follow suite till we clean up this mess..

I think as soon as they say a word, cops will be able to tell.
