Need serious help...

Hey guys. I seem to have some car trouble... I have a 98 Isuzu Rodeo and for some reason the engine just cuts out. It died a total of 6 times today. I checked oil and it was a little low so I filled it up. I seriously have no clue whats wrong with it. If you guys know I would be very thankful.

EDIT: I also think something is wrong with my trans. My max rpm is around 6,300 but it wouldn't go past 5,500...

Going to need more information than that. You are going to have to work through the problem or take it to someone that knows what they are doing. A gas engine needs 3 things to run. Spark, air, and fuel. Find out which one it isn't getting or is being canceled.

For the record, the oil being low has NOTHING to do with the engine cutting out. Oil is a lubricant, it doesn't make it run.

i agree, but isuzu is chevy knockoff.....should have gone wit chevy my man haha sorry im a little bias with hondas and chevys since this is my second civic and I have two chevy trailblazers at only 18 years young

Ah. Well it wasn't my choice of car. My dad has very bad tastes in cars. I'm sure it isn't getting fuel. I really don't want to put any fuel into it because my needles seem to jump so I'm not sure if it has enough or its actually low.

yeah i would get that fixed...but if u dont want to, just go top it off tomorrow, then (if u havent already) take not of how many miles it take to fill up again and then keep judging by that..goodluck also hope u can figure this out and not be too expensive

I kinda don't want to spend money on this car anymore. Once i hate to fill up TWICE because my gas light came on. I put 15 in and drove for 10mins. Fuel light came on so I put another 15 in. This car is very unreliable. I just hope I can sell this P.O.S. soon...

Excelent car, fighter jet theme gets me everytime, but that fell off the face of the earth never hear bout it anymore, no crashes or anything but the Veyron....wow people F*** those up
