The shutting off doesn't have to do with oil. Check to make sure you're getting fuel to the engine.

I kinda don't want to spend money on this car anymore. Once i hate to fill up TWICE because my gas light came on. I put 15 in and drove for 10mins. Fuel light came on so I put another 15 in. This car is very unreliable. I just hope I can sell this P.O.S. soon...

15 what? $15? That is what less than 5 gallons? Are you sure you aren't out of gas? It is probably cutting out because the tank is almost empty.

When the fuel light comes on in my '07 Silverado I still have like 6 gallons left. That would mean if it came on and I only put $15 in the tank, the light would still be on. I don't know how yours works but I am guessing you were still on "E".

Fill the tank.

It was back when gas was 2.80 ish. So about 7 gallons or so. $15 dollars worth usually lasted about 3-4 days.

Or sorry. When I fill it up with about $15. It also cut out when I had about half tank left.
