Grounding inside door panels

Does anyone know how the grounding works inside the door panels? I think I have a grounding problem in there cause my speakers only work when I ground them to a screw or bolt. Looks like the internal wiring is fudged. Can't even lock doors without the remote. Any 1 know how it works in there?

ok adding on to the topic. Out of complete randomness. My right door tweeter was working, just out of the blue. And it's not even connected, the door panel speaker and the tweeter's wires are just hanging there unconnected. But a few moments later, the tweeter stopped working again. wtf is going on?

Nothing grounds within the door itself. The grounds are located under the dash and hood. Fix the bad wiring.

ah ok ic thnx. I'll have to check it out then and see where the door wires go through the hood. It's not cool having 1 side of the speakers work.

LOL, no haha. My tweeters light up to the bass, so I know I'm not going crazy. Maybe it was left over voltage in there or something idk.

your speakers ground to your head unit or aftermarket amp if you have one.
