I have a 1992 honda SI and my rack and pinion boot from the passenger have torn so it's leaking. I was wondering if it's possible to replace the boot on my own. And will it effect with my alignment?
Here's a picture from top and below. If you think you can give me a solution to this please help! Thanks!

The boot is torn, but that has nothing to do with the fluid leak. The leak is caused by a bad end seal in the rack. The fix is to replace the rack. I bought a rebuilt rack for under $300 from O'Reilly's.

Any steering problems right now? Over time the leaks will worsen, which may affect steering.
no steering problem but the leak is just bother me. well, my alignment is slightly off due to car coilover lowering all the way down. that's basically it. Thank you for you help though! I appreciate it.

keep in mind that you may need a special tool to tighten those metal ties
