Strange Oil leak... PICS

I had some valve cover gasket leaks... Leaking from the bolts that hold in the valve cover and what I thought was from the back of the valve cover right about the intake manifold. So I replace the valve cover gasket and let it run for an hour or so and nothing. So I feel like i just won... lol my car had secrets that revealed themselves after running for about 8 hours today for work. It is not leaking down from the valve cove. I checked the head for any cracks and do not see any, if you look at the 3rd pic u will see it looking like it is leaking from the head, but i cant get to where it is without taking the intake manifold off. It looks like a bolt of some kind is hidden behind the intake manifold. Let me know what you guys think... I'm stumped.. I did was down after i redid the gasket and it was fresh oil. Also not blowing any smoke from tail pipe and oil and coolant are not mixing....So... Help Me!!! Thanks

I was thinking intake manifold gasket.. but not too sure, did you check to see if your pcv is spitting oil? mine got stuck open and threw oil on my fuel rail in drips just like that

i dont think its intake manifold.. i dont think there is oil ports, i think there is coolant ports on the intake mani... let me look for the pcv and check that out... see if it is oily and the possible cause

I could not find the pcv but I found this... It is right under the battery.....looks like its leaking... looks like it is tied into a big vacume box... what is it? what do I need to do if anything...

pcv is under the intake manifold right above the oil filter ,..its connected to the hose running through the manifold .

Sounds like an intake valve stem seal leak, where the vacuum in the intake draws the oil through the valve guide past the stem seal and ends up in the intake manifold :what:

Vacuum is generated by the piston when it sucks air from the intake manifold, so I would think that such a valve stem leak would cause oil burning in the cylinder and blue smoke in the exhaust.

OP: Are you absolutely sure that the oil is not coming from the valve cover gasket? Is there still oil leaking around the valve cover bolts or the spark plug tube seals in the valve cover? My fear is that your piston rings are worn and creating excess blow by gas and crankcase pressure, which could force oil out of the valve cover gasket. How many miles does the engine have?

yes, I am sure its not from the valve cover. You would see the drip marks from the oil and it is perfectly clean.... and my engine has 152,000 miles on it and I use castro higher mileage oil and change the oil every 3,000 miles(Every two weeks.)

I think that the only place oil could leak from in that area is the valve cover. Let's see if you get posts for different ideas, like that of 31dev31.

If you look straight down between injectors 2 and 3, there is an opening through the intake manifold where you can see the PCV valve plugged into the breather box. Is oil splattered around the PCV valve?

That should be part of the EVAP system, but what kind of fluid is leaking. It looks like coolant, though that does not make much sense. Do you have A/C and does it work? There is a refrigerant line that runs above that area.

i do have ac and I am having an ac issue. I noticed it leaking from the valve core on the low side, i figured it was that. Which line is the refrigerant line

There is an aluminum refrigerant line that runs under the battery and then through the firewall to the evaporator.
