Spent my savings on my first Civic--->

Hey everyone. I just bought a 95 civic coupe EX from someone on craigslist. This is my first civic and i'm very happy with it. There was of course a catch. The hood and front right fender is messed up, and some rust building up. I payed $1800. Was this a good buy? Or could i have done better?

Sepcs:

- 95 Black Civic ex coupe
- 129,xxx miles
- No leaks
- No noise
- Runs like a champ

I just changed the oil and spark plugs today. This is probably going to be my commuter car. I have no experience or knowledge about honda's what-so-ever, except their wonderful gas milage :suprise::suprise:...
I hope to meet a few good people on here...

Not looking to do a lot. Maybe something to make it sound nice. Any suggestions? Oh yeah, any way to treat those rust spots??

Welcome to the site..

1800 isnt too bad for that.. Id say its worth 1800....

Definitely needs work, but what honda doesnt? Id say get a new hood quickly and itll be looking better.. that rust is getting bad though.

129,000 is actually not bad for a 95

Hey, thanks everyone. I appreciate all the support. If you would like to suggest anything just post it.
I'm looking for parts, specifically an intake. Any suggestion or favorites? I'm looking at couple on craigslist.
Would it be smart to buy a used one?

The paint that isn't affected by rust or dents is amazing! Grenada black pearl!

Started removing the interior this morning.Wasn't too hard.
I bought some commercial stain removers that actually worked. Surprisingly, I found tons junk:

- $3.00 worth of change
- brand new pack of gum
- 2 lighters
- 13 cigarette butts

I'm also looking for an alarm system. Any recommendations?
