what i dont get is why cant we deploy, put a foot in the ass, and leave afghanistan looking like a skidmark in my drawers? we have the ability, but its either

A) try to make the american people and the rest of the world love us because we try to conduct a "safe war" (like that makes sense), winning of hearts and minds - but live in fear on a day to day basis because we know they can still do us harm

or B) go to the middle east, Drop all ROEs, and start waxin ASS over there, with air and ground forces and just leave that shithole looking better by destroying every piece of building in the land. - then we look like bullies to the rest of the world (that already hates us) and then we return to normal life.

the general public believes that this war has gone on way to long, and thier right, but its the same people who get upset when we f**kin DO WORK on them bitches that complain, thus we change our operating proceduers, and in turn making it harder on us.

i.e. - the people of afghanistan we getting upset that we (USMC) were raiding house primarily at night and not during the day,although the cover of night combines with the element of suprise is our best chance of survival, we stopped doing night raids becasue the hippies posed the question, "how would you like it if some over country just stormied in your house as you were sleeping?" now we fight those f**kers on their terms. but hey, whatever keeps the you guys, the american people, happy right?

No man your right, war has turned into this tit for tat game of just chance, though I'm not going to get all political and try to speak out of bounds and all crazy because i haven't gone to serve yet (Keyword; yet. I'm doing it once i loose all this weight and get the necessary credits) but war has casualties and isn't pretty, it's all too familiar.

Now the terrorist are bringing the war to our side of the coast lines threatening our very way of being, certain freedoms we had before are at risk of completely disappearing because everyone's worst fear here in NY is being on the train with your son or wife (my case) and a bomb going off. I can't possibly comprehend that happening. It pisses me off that we can drop a f**king A-bomb in Japan to keep the Soviet's from joining in on the war but we can't do more when Terrorist decide to implement tactics against US civilians. why cant we stop citizenship on all foreign immigrants? revoke everyones visas. and deport EVERYONE who is not supposed to be here?

i dont see it as that hard.. if you shut this country down from the inside.. and dont let anyone else in..... and just work on finding the inside bullshit... we would be a stronger place eventually.

do you know how many jobs that would open up? how much more opportunity it would be for us? look at all the cab drivers in NYC... i bet 80% of them are foreigners on visas. there are 13000 cabs in NYC.

i think.. if your not already an american citizen..then you cant enter this country. plain and simple
