blew motor on nitrous

I blew my d16z6 motor today! I was sprayin a 150 shot of nitrous and racing a stock mustang v8. I was only losing by a car length when it blew. What motor can i get that can take a 150 wet shot of nitrous and beat v8 mustangs?

150 wet shot on stock internal d16z6 all it had was arp headstuds. It lasted a few months before it blew. Looks like just some bent valves that hit piston. Block and crank look fine so i think ima build a vitara piston, fj rods bottom end with a stock z6 head with upgraded cam, valves, springs,retainers. Gonna spray a 150 shot direct port nitrous. Watcha think?

i also own a v8 mustang so i know it was a v8. Dual exhausts, throaty v8 roar, it was fast,etc. He said it was stock but it was too fast to be stock. He had at least exhaust and maybe gears.

i think he means you need to do some re-search on power adders (like nitrous) and motors (especially ones that are running nitrous) so you dont end up wasting money in the long run.

btw, what kind of kit was it? direct port? if you want to get rid of it let me know...

It was a wet single fogger kit. I think im gonna build a vitara d16z6 and do a direct port nitrous setup, but i will keep my nitrous kit.

My mustang can take a 250 shot all day w/o a problem, i wanted to see how much i could push out of the d16. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
