I don't think pissing her off is a good idea right now.

Weather you paid for it or not, with it in her name, and in her possession, she can do what ever she wants with it. That would include selling it.

Now I don't know the situation, but my guess is that with it in her name he can drive it with no license and can get it back when it is impounded. If he is pulled over alone, with no license, the car is impounded. A lot of tow companies won't let the car go to anyone but the owner and you can only leave the premises if you have a license.

Being in her name would allow the car to be picked up by her after an impound.

Like I said, I don't know the situation and that is my best guess by what I have experienced. My ex in high school, her dad owned one of the biggest tow companies in the area. I heard about that situation more than a few times. It is sickening how many people drive around with suspended or no licenses.
in NJ driving without a license is illegal no matter how you cut it.. they suspend the license for a reason.. to PUNISH YOU.. and keep you OFF the road..

Oh, I didn't mean that they weren't harsh here. It is just as illegal and they punish very well, but that doesn't seem to stop people.

There was a guy that worked at the dealership that I worked at that had his license suspended. That never deterred him from driving. It was a pain in the @$$ for the rest of us, because everyone else had to bring or take the vehicles from him. He would get the license back only to have it suspended again. This also, obviously meant that he had no insurance.

I am in no way saying that I condone this behavior. In fact, I am extremely against it.

you cant buy a car and put it in your name and insure it to drive in your name without a licenses thats why i did it. Its ok though i gave her some money to fix her maxima and i got my car back today. So all is well i didnt want pity or to make this a big thread i just wanted to let ppl know not to do what i have done and lose thier car. Also ive been punished enough i think i served 9 of ten years of my suspension. My second DUI i totaled my last civic lost alot of money with it. Like i said im not asking for pity just warning others that might do what i done for a project build and then lose it in a blink of an eye.

Your license is suspended so you put it in her name? Im sorry, I just dont understand that logic.

Then again I also dont understand how f**king her aunt is going to get back at her. On that note, I think I'll just exit myself from this thread before I get myself another infraction....
how would you get an infraction? say what ya want id love to hear whats on your mind.
