that is one of the biggest issues..
I am not sure what should be done honestly.. but i sure as hell know they should NOT be incarcerated at US tax dollar expense.. but they sure as hell should not be sent back to where they came from.. most of those nations are extremely corrupt and the person would likely be set free, only to illegally come back here yet again..
this is why we need to FIX the problem..

Most likely boils down to one thing -- money. Most taxpayers probably agree with your position on this issue, but are just not willing to pay for it, especially in the current economic climate.

oh f**king god... white people, black people, asian people.... all do this s**t all the time. Hit and runs aren't limited to only illegal aliens. Get rid of all the illegal aliens in the country and you'll still have the same s**t happening.
I'm more worried about white trash abusing the system like welfare and taking my hard earned money to feed their pill poppin habbits. there's TONS of lazy white trashy people all over the usa not having to work because uncle sam (my tax money) is supporting them and thier trailer trash children. All they have to do is pretend they have some sort of mental issue and BAM!... they get ssi... food stamps.... cash assistance.... rental assistance.... A friend of mines white trashy friend just received $25,000 dollars in back SSI this past month and it's all gone already and she has nothing to show for it. the state even took away her kids for a year but she now has them back and I'm paying for those little cunts to eat. their white whore trashy mother does not and will probably NEVER have to work a day in her life.

Oh I agree with you completely and I'm sure my own father would too! I wish the US would step it up on illegal immigration and as a matter of fact, I think they are! Just today there was a huge immigration raid here in Grand Rapids!
the thing with my our children tho... I think there's more of a chance for our children to be hurt by an American citizen than an illegal alien, that's just my opinion tho. I hear you on if that were to occur by an illegal, the government would be blamed on my part.
What pisses me off as well is all these american citizens like myself crying about being profiled to make sure we are not illegal aliens. these f**king assholes are crying bloody murder about the government not being fair and racist. When in reality they should be pissed off at the illegals for making the government do this to us.

Biz does have a point. But its not just white people abusing that system. There are PLENTY of blacks and legal hispanics that abuse the system. I made the mistake of walking into the bank on the 15th. I literally counted. There were 2 white people including myself, and 28 blacks. I dont know how it is in other areas, but around here the 15th is the day people get their welfare checks. Its not just whites.
oh yeah, I totally know that! but I live in a white section of America so that's what I see first hand.
And I will admit, the area I went to the bank for has a decent number of blacks. Just wanted to point it out that its not all us white folk.
If I may, I think it's a rather futile effort to try and keep illegal immigrants out of the country. Most of them come to stay here by overstaying their visas anyway, so increasing border patrol wouldn't stop the majority of illegal immigrants. Also, as RonJ said, with the current economic climate, it's difficult to find funds or support for such endeavors.
For what I know of the situation, the amount of money we could spend to keep illegal immigrants out of the country would be large compared to its effectiveness.
In my opinion, we shouldn't be trying to keep them out. But I am not saying we should encourage illegal immigrants entering our country.
It all lies in the root of why there are illegal immigrants in this country in the first place. There are two reasons:
1. There are vast economic opportunities in the United States as compared to their home countries
2. The immigration process in the United States is such that they would rather be here illegally than legally
Clearly we don't want to change #1, so I propose we change #2. If we can amend the immigration process, we can reduce the number of illegal immigrants by helping them become citizens. I haven't thought enough into the situation to come up with specific amendments, but I believe a shorter waiting period and higher quotas are in order, or perhaps even fundamental changes to the system.

next.. the comment about making it easier to immigrate.. if anything it should be made HARDER.. the US has x amount of resources.. jobs.. homes.. schools.. etc.. if you just open the door and let anything go then those resources will be depleted faster than they can be replenished, thus creating a giant situation of fail..
lastly.. you simply can not imagine the volume of people crossing the mexican border.. and these people are NOT exclusively south american... there is evidence to indicate that middle eastern militants are ALSO crossing.. people who want YOU dead simply for being American.. yeah.. lets just let them ALL in..
