Craigslist motor: What do you think?

I was searching craigslist and i found this, I think it is a good price and it is worth looking into, but i have a d series, All i would have to do it get a different manifold correct? Of course i couldn't use the the head gasket and the other b series stuff they. Let me know what you think, thanks.

u would need a lot of different stuff besides just the turbo mani...

u could build one urself or get one thats for ur car for about $1500...

wow, that guy is charging alot for an ebay kit
turbo parts that say "JDM" means..cheap and will break soon

you can piece your own kit for way cheaper

Invest to do it right, or you WILL be wasting more money down the road when this craps out on you

can you help me piece one together or just get me started anyway, I just want to get 210-220 on my stock d16 and have that for a couple years until i get out of college

1. be careful boosting a completely stock engine..especially if it has alot of miles, any sort of induction whether its built right or not will decrease the life of your engine.
2. if the engine is in good shape, find a turbo that will spool up quickly, you dont want any lag when you get going. that means dont just get the first turbo you see...do some research so you dont waste your money on a turbo that does you no good...and from what that craigslist "ebay" kit says, it is supposed to go on a b series motor. b series can usually handle higher boost pressures than d series so if you buy this one i can guarantee it will lag bad.
3. dont buy kits...build your own..like everyone else said...and build one for your engine...not a b series

my y8 only has 90 thousand miles, so its fairly young and i plan on building my own after doing some more research. I will go bigger after college and build my engine, once i get a continuous source of income. I can build one cheaper then that kit.
