Well, some of you may remember me..

Florid has not been good to me. Shity pay compared to Oregon, and the cops here are desperate for money.

To top it off, i got a 300$ speeding ticket. and in a car accident later on.

The ticket:
ok picture this, its 3am, ur on ur way home from ur gfs house, and its race night, uve had like 15 civics try to race you the whole way doing s**t like riding ur ass and all that. u turn off onto a back road to avoid them, and bam, another car pulls out onto the side road guns it and almost rear ends you, so u flash ur brakes for a second to tell em to calm down, they back off and do it again, so when u start to get close to another car u speed up to about 5 over the speed limit, pull in front of the other car and let the jack ass that nearly hit u drive by, well good plan. Accept that jack ass was an undercover mustang, who "clocked me at 77 in a 45" after i explained that my stock automatic in overdrive cant jump from 40-45 all the way to 77 in 2 secs of acceleration, i ask to see the radar he supposedly clocked me with, he refused. i went to court and the judg straight up said every1 with speeding tickets or redlight tickets in my court are guilty..so i lost..WTF!

Then on my way back to work im making a right hand turn onto 192 (a main street that is divided the whole way down) we have a green light, the girl in front of me goes, im next, i look to my left and start to go, then bam, like 6 cop cars turn on sirens and make a left hand turn into the place i was turning out of, im like ok, from a divided road, going the opposite way im safe, i look back, the girl in front of me panicked and slammed on her brakes right where she was, dead center of the lane. i pumped my brakes and pulled to the left, but because she didnt pull to the right like she should have if she was stopping for the cops, i couldn't get far enough over fast enough and clipped her w/ the right side of my car at about 15 mph

Sooooo now i need a new bumper, new core support, new fog lights, new fenders, and im considering axles just to be on the safe side..

when i pulled over to exchange information, she just stayed in the road, im like wtf u have to move over ur on a buisy street..she had dropped her keys on the floor..then i asked why she just stopped, she said" i heard sirens" im like "u pull over when u hear sirens, and if they are on thew other side of a divided road, witch they were u ignore it and keep moving" s**t..imagine if she did that on a highway, just stop..she and her 3 friends would be killed in a car accident at those speeds.

oh, and because publix my place of work, doesnt pay s**t, i couldnt afford anything past liability, so my whole new front end is out of pocket..awesome!

Anywhere you go the pay and jobs are going to suck.

1. you broke the law and the cops did their job.
2. It sounds like you follwed her too closely.

Learn from your mistakes and cheer up. You could be homeless.and struggling for your next meal.

Ill eat the car accident, but the ticket is complete BS i wasnt speeding, if i went over the posted speed it was by no more then 1 or 2 miles, to get away from a person that nearly rear-ended me twice, and he lied about the speed because i looked at speedometer it read 47 mph and when i asked him to show me his radar that he "clocked me at 77" w/ he refused. now why would he refuse if he really did clock me that fast?

the cop was out here trying to make his quota and picked on me cause i drive a honda, period.
i have no respect for the law here, ive been rear ended twice in the 4 months ive been here both time hit and runs and both times the cops did nothing.

they are just as criminal as the idiots that race on the streets

You said you went 5 over in your first post now your claiming it as two.
Also if he is a cop he can ride your ass all he wants. To get your plate numbers.

Run for congress or some s**t if your gonna sit here and whine about the cops. Whenever somebody pulls a gun on you or robs you, i bet the first thing you do is go to them and plead for their help.

They don't have to show the radar and LEOs don't have quotas. It is a bogus claim made up by offenders that need a scapegoat.

Speeding up to get away from a tailgater is not legal. You are speeding. The only time it is ok to break the speed limit legally is when you are safely passing someone in a zone dedicated to do so.

LMFAO. you fail. i have been pulled over for passing cars without even being clocked because the cop paced the car i passed. i passed him after he just turned onto the road and was driving 35 in a 55. by the time the cop turned around and paced him he was going the speed limit. the cop pulled me over and asked me why i was passing cars doing the speedlimit because i would have to be speeding to do so. and they do have to show you the radar if you ask from what i understand.

I am sorry but you are wrong. This is coming straight from an officers mouth. A State Sheriff to be exact. When I called him and asked he said that the only thing he has to show is the calibration documents if required when in court. Most cruisers have built in radar now a days so it would be a safety hazard to show the offender.

As far as passing, look it up. You also misunderstood what I was saying. If the person in front of you is going under the speed limit, it is LEGAL to pass them only for as long as it takes to get around them and back down to the actual speed limit.

This is taken directly from the RCW code 46.61.425. "That a person following a vehicle driving at less than the legal maximum speed and desiring to pass such vehicle may exceed the speed limit, subject to the provisions of RCW 46.61.120 on highways having only one lane of traffic in each direction, at only such a speed and for only such a distance as is necessary to complete the pass with a reasonable margin of safety.
"

Fail? I don't think so.

well it may be different where you are. all i know is i have been pulled over for it and personally know people who have been pulled over for speeding while passing another vehicle.

That is very possible. The RCW code I quoted was pulled from Washington's site. Many states vary widely on their traffic laws and how they enforce them. That is why it is always good to know the laws when traveling in other states because "I am not from around here" won't cut it in court.

It isn't a free for all either, meaning that you can't just do it when ever. Needs to be safe, on a road that is 1 lane each way, and the lead car is driving under the limit.

i see. well around here while they may not "have" to show you the gun they will because its pretty easy to get it thrown out in court unless you get a judge like the OP got. i know people who have asked to see the gun and the cops have no problem showing them. one guy i work with got pulled over and the cop told him he was going 68, he asked to see the gun and it only said 65.

I've found that in these kind of cases it's best to go with a traffic attorney. From what I've seen, showing up in court to self-represent yourself on your own can be risky around here [Orlando] because the judge will not take any special time with you and your case. Just like in the OP's case, it will often be decided "guilty" with minimal input from the accused. The court system processes traffic tickets like they were a factory.

The magic in a traffic atty is that they work the same way. And they're often very effective at it.

In my situation, I should have had points added to my licence for the first time after my most recent speeding ticket. This time I hired an atty and he was able to get my ticket reduced, kept the points away, and made it possible for me to simply take another traffic school--something I shouldn't have been able to do again since my last one.

One phone call and three months later, I was good. No court appearances or anything on my part.

Point being: when the law indicts you [don't fight it] and the court won't work with you [which is scary because it's your only legal place of recourse], sometimes having a lawyer on your side can be the best leverage you have.

Dude that f**king sucks balls man and you could tell a cop that it wasn't you that he must of clocked someone else and that he was tail gating you that they aren't suppose to do that you should of gotten a lawyer and taken it to court and the girl is a dumb ass b***h that's why some people shouldn't have license that's a true FML

when cars tailgate you just brake check them if they get too close and stay there. they will back off pretty fast. hell ive even done it to cops following me. one of them almost hit me because of it. probably would have made it out to be my fault thought that cop was a d**k
