99 Civic EX

Well I recently have just joined the Honda camp myself. My family already owns a 06 Civic Si and a 91 Civic hatch, but I have always had a 2000 Toyota Celica GT-S. I recently got rid of the car and picked up a 99 Civic EX until I finish my mechanical engineering degree next May. So far I have really enjoyed the car. I don't have too many plans for it besides some window tint, HID's, and if I get frisky a nice drop and some wheels.

I appreciate all help with finding parts for this car. I am interested in the Fog lights that it seems alot of yall have on your Civics, and if there is a recommended HID kit for these models Civics like there is for the Celica I drove I would love to know that as well.

But enough talk here are some pictures to introduce myself.

Here is my recently sold 2000 Toyota Celica GT-S 6-speed:

And here is the 99 Civic EX 5-speed that I am driving now. Pretty much stock except for some universal muffler the guy had on the back of the car. And the car has been repainted to some kind of dark green with alot of metal flake in the paint job. It seems to be a decent paint job and I am hoping it last till when I plan on selling the car sometime next summer.

If you guys have any things that I should be looking out for with the car or "must do" mods for the car please let me know.

give the car a tune up if the previous owner did not, spark plugs/wires, timing belt, water pump, etc

Well I am not planning on doing too much to the Civic. I was getting to the point with the Celica where I was putting more money into it than what I really wanted to or planned to at the beginning of the project. But I am pretty sure that happens with everyones project.

I would have definitely looked at it had I found it during my search. I had to hunt craigslist forever for ths thing.

nice civic and celica op
Thanks, thats a nice EP3 (I think that is what that model is?) you have there. Sorry I am new to the Honda scene been in Toyotas for most of my driving career. lol

Hey well you never know it most likely will be for sale by then. We will just have to see.
your celica was nice man!
Thanks!

You don't know how bad I want to slam this thing the right way, and with it being a civic it would be relatively affordable. I am not a big wheel guy so I could do without spluirging on those. I really like a clean slammed stock body look. But the right wheels can really set off a car with a proper drop.

I would've stick with the gt-s, but that's me.

Believe me I wasn't super excited to sell my first modified car. I hope I didn't do too bad with it. Tried to keep it as clean as I could although I did have some rice in me when I first got it.

The Celica was starting to have some issues with the synchros which is a common problem with that transmission. It can't take too much abuse. Plus the paint on the car was starting to get pretty sunbaked. The clear coat was beginning to chip off multiple pannels on the car. It still was a fun car though, and I always enjoyed driving it.
