Hey guys, just a little bit of history. My first car back in 2003 was a baby blue '90 civic hatchback std model. It was my first honda and I learned everything from that car. It was an std model but it didn't stop me from modding it. I did everything from adding small details to doing a crx dash swap in it. No engine swap so it still had the D15B1 but with the little money I had and being in highschool, it was an awesome fun car. So in 2006, I got a great job and wanted something newer and that had a/c and whatnot. Bought a '99 civic ex (my current ride) and unfortunately sold the car to my best friends mom as a daily driver. Soon over the next few years, my best friends mom gave the car to him to use and then after a year of use, it somehow died and he couldn't get it fixed. He laid it out in a field for a few months till he sold it for dirt cheap to someone local. What pisses me off is that he never got the person's name or address so I have no clue who has it right now.

I've been more financially stable now and can't stop dreaming about having my old hatch back. So i'm in need of some help. I don't know how to go about this or if anyone local in the virginia area may (for some rare chance)have the car. I've got the vin and want to run a carfax to get a general location of where the car may be but I don't have the money for it as of this week. But are their any other options? Let me know if anyone has ever went through this or may know how to help me out! Thanks so much guys! Hope I can get my old car back!

CARFAX wont really say much besides the last city it was registered in.

Bastards.....lol! Didn't even piece my paragraph together right and you caught THAT. I meant it as I'm financially stable with taking a loan out for whatever amount the car is worth, but for a 40 dollar carfax, I can't pull it out my own paycheck right now with the normal bills on the side (next month I could take out the loan). Basically what I meant. lol.

But with the carfax, I know it'll show up a city the car has been registered in with it's local dmv but that's it. If I can just narrow it down to where, I'll be good as in to look around one day. Ya never know.

This dude sounds fishy. Sounds like he is looking to steal something or something. Clearly he is wanting someone to run the carfax for him, which is illegal sir.

Really? I can't tell if you're serious or not.

What is he going to steal off a stock 90 hatch that would benefit his 99 ex?

He never asked anyone to run a carfax, he asked if anyone knew an alternative method to find information with the info he has on the car.

Good luck in you're search!

Oh yes.....I'm real fishy! I laughed so hard when I read this. I'm in NO way trying to steal or take something back from the car, I'm trying to FIND the car so I can buy it back, hopefully. I bet there's been tons of people on here who's tried to find their old rex or civic. But ya know what.......a carfax would be nice but I know their illegal to run for people and when I had my old account a few years back, I ran a few on here for some people so I know. If you want to contribute to helping me with a carfax, go ahead. I'd love to have one run from someone else but i know it's not likely. I'm looking into alternate ways to look up the locations of a car. So hence my question, anyone know how to look up a cars location by it's VIN?

*still laughing at what you said jaydles* hahahaha

I love makin people laugh. But you still didn't explain your current ride situation.
You say the ex is your dd in one sentence but the next you say it was sold to some guy by some other guy after sitting forever. You don't make sense.

I am no way in the wrong by calling you fishy.

If you read my post one way, it seems to be like I did say I sold me EX but when I was writing it, I didn't mean it that way. Guess I should've put a comma in there. My EX is my dd and the hatch is what I'm looking for.
