You have to have wifi to do video chat because of the network. You wouldn't need wifi for video chat on the iphone if att rolled out hsdpa.

IPhone, yes needs WiFi, evo needs no WiFi, just use's your normal 3g or 4g service to video chat, down sides not knowing anyone who has video chat/ calling capabilities.

One of my coworkers in IT sold his 32 GB 3Gs to get an Evo and now regrets it. He is going to get the 4 when it comes out. I am thinking on upgrading from my 16 GB 3G to the iPhone 4.

I just upgraded to a htc evo 4g hands down it owns the iPhone, evo has more usable feature right off the bat without having to pay extra, hell I don't even need WiFi to do video chat, I have hdmi output to play videos in 720p on my 50" plasma tv, I will admit the battery sucks, however you can fix that in you setting. Not to mention a 8 legal pixel cam with dual led flash, that records hd video, believe neo could go on about this thing, which is where I typed this from.

I'm getting this phone on August when my upgrade is due...............

i fiddled around with my buddy's EVO 4g and first off, its WAY too big. but the tv function is really cool. that was all i had time to check out really.

The i4 (refuse to say iPhone 4 all the time) seems to be a force to be reckoned with, Evo and i4 are honestly going to take over. Let's see that else is coming out, you know it has to be something better to compete with these two. hmm
