he's actually been pretty active the past few months. He's been helping out with discussions and more! I hear you tho and I also think that there's nothing wrong with this thread. You just wanted to know why and this option got you an answer quick. Hopefully it all works out in the end.

did you check my post transcript yet, sure i may not be everyday now doubt, which there is nothing wrong, but i'm a active poster, just cause i haven't soared in post like i have in the past, doesn't mean i haven't posted in public in the last year, which is a flat out lie on anyone's part to say that, i screen through alot looking for things when i'm on here, if i don't post then what does that matter, you don't have to post to mod, just edit, close, move, or ban, no words needed honestly, but i have been very active as any other time with posting, sorry i do take offense to this lie.

Why should we ban a member for reporting a post, when that's what the button is there for?

You're a good guy Tom, but the inactivity is something that we had to look at. We've been removing mods who haven't been active. Not posting in the moderation section because of drama is a bullshit excuse, IMO, drama or no drama, your job is moderator, and part of that job is taking active discussion in the moderator section.

Being active is part of the job of being a Moderator, if you can't be active, you will be removed, I thought all the mods knew this.

you could have made this exact post when it was discussed about a month ago in the mod lounge. When it was discussed, I took a look myself and I seen that you hadn't made a post in the public forum since late last year. Maybe you made a post here and there after it was discussed but at that time, you hadn't. All you had to do was look through the threads in the mod lounge to see it being discussed, that is all...



I don't post in every thread in the mod lounge but I do look through all the threads. If I'm not on a few days here and there, I go back and look through the old threads so I don't miss anything.

I don't post in every thread in the mod lounge but I do look through all the threads. If I'm not on a few days here and there, I go back and look through the old threads so I don't miss anything.

From not posting in the last year to not posting since late last year, come on biz there's a big difference there in time, either way my public posting is fine from what i can see and read.

Also hey guess what i'm the exact way as you in the mod lounge, not every thread i post in, but i do read every one there that pops up as new to see what i have to contribute, and same with the old's, espeically if i posted in them.

Participate? We have threads there that are pretty important, and you have ONE post in them, and those are "I agree" replies. On the first page of the Moderator section, we have 3 threads with more than 50 replies, you have none in them. On the first page alone, you have 2 replies. TWO. Even JayJay has more replies than you.

vjf - I've still been handling 7th gen. 7th gen basically looks after itself though. All the regulars in there know what is expected of them.

Tom - I've always thought you were a great moderator, but your activity has been dropped for too long. 99% of the regular mods were giving more input than you were. The 1% that weren't are now gone as well. We have an active staff that is giving input on EVERY issue. What seems like petty bullshit to you, is important to many of the other mods. I think the fact that you view it as petty bullshit is an issue in itself.

I also think that this thread was out of character for you. There was absolutely no reason to bring this to the public forum unless you were trying to openly call us out. Instead, you called yourself out by saying that the only reason you were a moderator was because you paid Justin off (with that deal of yours.) I have no issue helping explain what happened in your situation, but I believe this thread created a much larger issue than what it had to be.

The fact of the matter is that we asked "Hey, where the hell is Tom?" on numerous occasions.. OPENLY in the mod lounge, and you never said "Here I am!" Along with that, we saw your activity log, and it was less than impressive. You'd have single days of mass moderating and then you'd disappear for quite some time, until you had another single day of mass moderating. It looked like life got in the way, and you moderated when you could... but it just wasn't enough. Not near enough.

I don't know what you're hoping to gain by this thread, except maybe make the staff look bad because it was somehow wrong that we chose to demod you, but I really think this should have been privately handled.

You just didn't pay attention to anything I said have you, just carefully go back and read please, you may se it as out of character, but that's not what is important here, I wanted answers, and i wanted them right away, which i got, which i knew I would get, sometimes you have to go the extra mile to get the explanations your looking for, am I tryingto make anybody look bad, no, I'm not that type of ass, but thinks for reading in-between the lines and thinking that, I hate when people do that.

If someone wanted to know where I was then why not just pm me and ask.

while i do normally agree with you.. while threads like this NORMALLY end as a complete cluster f**k.. you have to admit.. in THIS situation.. everyone remained totally cool, and level headed.. and was discussed in a very reasonable way.. the staff expressed how they felt.. and even though Tom didn't COMPLETELY agree.. its not like he was rude or disrespectful..

and lets face it.. if he didn't post this.. and get an explanation publicly.. someone else would have likely made a "what happened" thread.. so this in theory kills two birds with one stone..

the part I am genuinely sorry about.. is not sending that PM to him.. I don't normally f**k stuff like that up.. but i had 8 million things going on..

but at any rate.. he got the explanation, and everyone else was informed at the same time.. so for once.. a thread like this goes well..

It sound like a sucky deal for Tom, but i kind of agree with the decision. I mean the idea of a mod is to be here all the time or at least the majority of the time. If you have a busy life and cant access the site alot i think you should've handed over the mod status to someone else anyways.

Its sucks Tom. Im sorry it has happened, but you have handled your self gracefully. Hopefully everything works out.
