You can prolly do that as is depending on track, autoX they are both neck/neck.

I'm still deciding to be honest. I'm not sure if I eventually want to boost, or do a ITB setup. Boost would make more sense at this altitude, but don't want to be pushing too much HP to be hitting sideways every turn in auto-X.

So I'm not sure haha, I may go 1.8 in the future, but for now I will most likely just do an intake setup, I already have a header, and then get an exhaust system.

Oh by the way, I ripped out the ghetto DIY cruise control that was in the car. Wiring mess in the bay, now its gone! Also the headers are turning crazy colors haha.

Yeah you should SC it maybe? BTW read into intakes on teh miata forums, for the most part you'll end up loosing HP w/one, it's not like a Honda, more for sound.

Only intake i'm considering is a Randal style where you cut into the firewall and pull from the outside.

And really? Thats crazy. What about getting a MAF adapter and a filter? Power loss?

yeah the mazda intake box is very effective, MAF adapter and filter is the same, best bet is to get a good drop i filter, but I've even read arguments that their only benifit is longevity and the best power comes from a clean paper filter.

Thanks man! The lip was 250$ or so shipped. Not a bad price considering the quality of it.
