running lights and gauge cluster lights keep poppin fuses

the running lights and cluster lights wont work. ive replaced fuses but they blow 20seconds after i turn on the lights...WTF i need help

There could be a number of reasons for that. First off do you have anything aftermarket tied into that circuit? If so you could have a short there or it may be drawing too many amps from the circuit. In that case fix the short or get power for your aftermarket stuff somwhere else. Another reason could be have you or anyone else put in an aftermarket radio? If so it's possible the illumination wire behind the radio is shorting out causing the fuse to pop. Solution is to cap off that wire so it can't touch any metal. If it's a timed issue where it blows every 20 sec. then it's probably a current draw issue. If it blows when you are going down the road from hitting a bump or vibration then it's probably a short. Hope that helps =)

EDIT: Another reason that popped into my head could be water in the tail lights, headlights or license plate lights. That could cause a short as well.

the car is stock. i put a new sterio in but that was after the issue but im gonna try to cap that wire and see if that helps. thanks

ok so i had to rewire the sterio system cause ther was a short somewhere lol
i really appreciate the help wireman
