Thanks I had it blasted to get all the corrosion off of it.

My manifold should be here Friday or Monday:

Wasn't sure about it at first because of the position for the wastegate, but the guy wasn't having any boost creep issues so I went with it. Not sure my external wastegate will fit though, looks like its gonna try to mate with my A/C lines.. :(

Also picking up a Walbro this week! got almost all the parts

Thanks guys. There will be more updates later this week, little busy lately, and Canada day is coming up. But I got my manifold so I should hopefully have pics of that tomorrow. Also ordered my drain line and a fitting for the oil pan. Just looking for a couple more things for the feed line and some minor gaskets, then it'll be going on!

I will finally have pics of the updates tomorrow! Got the turbo test fit on the mani, clocked the turbo to the proper postion, got the turbo/mani test fit onto a spare head. So far so good. Got some fittings and hose for the drain, just waiting for a couple more fittings to arrive. Construction begins this weekend!

Thanks guys! I very much like the engine setup in the car, hopefully it likes the boost I throw at it haha.

Update from today:

Turbo is mounted in the car on the manifold right now. Had to notch the block webbing to fit, the turbo is tucked VERY close to the block. Nice thing is it clears AC and PS with plenty of room!

Mounted the wastegate on the manifold, and it's going to work! yay. Just have to play around with the AC lines a little more to make sure they don't bump the wastegate.

Also got a free walbro 255 installed. My good friend had it just laying around, traded me for my stock EK pump since he just wants a spare. Pump primed and started car perfectly (I tried this before mounting the turbo and everything to make sure)

Also got my DSM's modded to fit my OBD1 plugs. Just need to pick up a resistor box to wire in.

I have to take everything back out still. Awaiting on my exhaust flange and wastegate flange so I can fab up the downpipe and dumptube. Also waiting for some gaskets.

Only one crappy cell pic :( I forgot my camera today. Better pics tomorrow!

Some actual pics finally:

Still a little bit of tweaking to do here and there with AC lines, but it's pretty much ready to go. Just waiting on some gaskets still and some stuff for the feed/drain line

nice job man, make sure you get a reducer for the turbo oil feed or you'll blow your turbo seals and get oil into the turbine (car will smoke like crazy)

Thanks! Outa curiosity, where did you run the charge piping from the turbo to the intercooler? looks crowded.

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, been busy. Picked up an AEM wideband, wired it and the boost gauge in. Also painted the intercooler black to try to hide it a little more. Made a couple flanges that I needed, and got the downpipe all welded up. Just need to make the pipe off the wastegate back into the exhaust and then its test fire time!

Thanks guys! Lip is definitely on the list of to do lol.

Update: its done! Pictures to come tonight. Been driving it around for a couple days, still a couple of issues to deal with, and it's running insanely gross rich, smokes a bit black at idle lol. Leans out to about 14.5 in higher rpm, wayyyyy too lean.

I realllllllllllllly hope you arent smashing on a basemapped car. That is one clean swap you did but if youre smashing with a basemap, youre going to f**k s**t up QUICK.

Go get it tuned ASAP. Base maps are as gay as AIDS and are only to make sure the car turns on. Thats why youre smoking.

Not smashing on it too hard. I did run through it a couple times to see if everything was working. (I did that after a fair amount of driving out of boost). Most of the driving has just been around town out of boost. Sure sounds sweet though :P

It's off the road now though until I get a filter made up for the turbo. :(

Heres some pics:

Dont gotta front, I know you be smashing but its cool, we all learn the hard way. Ask my brother if he regrets smashing on his basemapped EF lol.

Ill take some pics of my filter tomorrow to give you an idea.

Thanks that would be awesome, I have no clue where to put it lol.

Talked to my tuner last night, should hopefully be getting done this week. Needs a ton more fuel up top and less down low. Can't wait to get it tuned
