Seems legit with a coke can in the tow hook.

But I had a crappy mugen replica front lip and it looked alright. It was painted gloss black and it looked alright. It was nice because if I hit it on bumps and scratched it I didn't really care as much as I would if it were real. Not that I didn't care at all, just cared a little less.

I bought a replica mugen lip off ebay. I don't see a point in getting a authentic one for hundreds of dollars only to get it full of rock chips or scrapes.

I ordered mine, showed up 5 days later, fit perfectly, paid 30 bucks, and its urethane

if i had the money i would, im still a college student, lucky enough to get $12 an hour but i need an engine swap and i just want this little detail to set off the front a little, not to mention driving through 2 "cities" to get to work, pot holes and unpaved construction may take a tool on the front lip, a real one may come when i graduate, i just didnt know if it was really a bad idea or not and if i should spend like $100 from a site (before shipping) for one

save for the parts you need, if you are tight for money that is. be responsible that is my advice. if your roads are as bad as you say then this would be like throwing money away.... save your money

Well, realistcally I wouldn't buy a cheap lip... Conditions that you are driving in daily really contribute to how long that lip will actually last! lol

But I see in your position that your in school and even setting aside money for something is great! But if you aren't going to be in school for much longer, just wait and get the genuine Civic SiR front lip from ICB Motorsport... Theirs are still on sale for $99 (plus shipping)

I had one of these lips on my Neon and it was great. Easy to retro, held paint well, only cracked when I hit a curb.

Dude it's a lip, the way I see it it doesn't freaking matter if its a replica or not. It doesn't serve any essential functions other than appearance, especially since the seller is guaranteeing fitment. People who spend $400 on a piece of plastic just because it says "Spoon" or "Mugen" on it are clearly doing it for bragging rights(only regarding lips though).
The only thing that's weird is paying $30 for that lip and $40 for shipping lol.

I agree with that, but if im not mistaken shipping isnt taxed on ebay where as the product is so if they put it up for X amount with only a $10 shipping charge there may be tax on that item, it will cost the same if not more. I may be wrong but thats what we all think here at work. We were confused over it also

Paying for a real lip is just to show you have money. Let them do them and you do you... Buy it if you like it OP.
