15" or 16" rims on hatch???

Right, so I'm trying to get hold of rims for my EJ9 hatch at the minute and was looking for 16" rims. The problem is everywhere I go to buy them has a poor selection of 16" and very often has the perfect style rim for me but only in 15" rim...My worry is it will be too small and then I'll be stuck with them...

Anybody out there got pics of hatches with 15's and 16's on them so I can see how it sits?? Thanks in advance =)

15'' inch wheels would be fine, they are likely lighter and tires cost less!

There's so much more selection out there when you go for 15s! I can get rims, tyres and lowering springs for less than most of the 16" rims and tyres I was looking at...Looking like there's only one way to go=)

Lot better tire selection with 15's and the cost compared to 16's is a big difference... s**t being from Ireland.. you probably get all the smexy wheels in the U.K. area. Lucky bastard

All you get this side are Rotas at best. It's like "Rays? What are they? They look like Rotas though" =) Ah well...gotta make do I suppose

More of a personal preference, I think 15s look better.

Your choice though

No I've been looking around again and with a decent drop the 15s definitely suit the look better. Think I'm gonna order tomorrow and then look at droppin it:D

I prefer 16s

15s look a little small on 6th gens in my opinion. 15s look better on 5th gens. The selection is not bad for 16s at all, despite what previous people have said. Handling also is a little better with the 16" rims since less sidewall flex. Weight isnt a big difference so long as you choose a light weight 16s (~13-15lbs) you will be happy. just browse the gallery and go with what you think looks best.

I am having 16' on my 95 hatchbk, it looks nce but the problem im facing is that when the car settles down while on drive and if i get a bump the tyre touches the lip of the fender and i can hear some kind of noise .

Thanks for the heads up. Hastle you could do without, definitely. I suppose it kinda makes sense in fairness. The stock rims on mine are 14" so I suppose it can be expected to rub without having the arches rolled some bit at least

I have pondered this myself... had 15's for a long time. If you want a quick glance at some 15' rota's check out my vBgarage link below to get and idea.

x2 i prefer 16" wheels on a 6th gen. 15's will have more performance advantages and cost less, but 16's just look better on a lowered 6th gen :what:

i agree. i have 16's on my 97 hatch, my cousin has 15's on his 98 hatch. both cars are silver. personally i thought the 16's filled the wheel wells much better when compared side by side
