Trying to figure out what engine is in my car... This engine is not a 1.6L i am sure.

What i see is a HM D15B 2292904 16 valve Honda..

guessing a 1.5L But i need some AC parts and i can't say "looking for parts on a 1990 honda civic hatch si"
if the engine is not correct when not stock.. (1.6L)

Does it matter ?

Check the engine stamp on the block. Just to the left of the header.

You have a D15 engine.
every time i go to a place to ask for parts that ask what car did the engine come out of... cuz not the stock .. and i really don't know what model or year that i could say. if it makes a difference/

I can't buy anything online because the generator fixes it to only choose 1.6L ... also so if anyone can help with a car it could have come out of.. so i can search parts under that vehicle that would be cool.

There were 9 D15B variations.

D15B Vtec
Found in JDM 1991-1995 Honda Civic VTis and Honda CRX del sol VXi's

D15B

D15B1
1988-1991 Honda Civic Hatchback

D15B2
1988-1991 Honda Civic GL/DX/LX
1988-1991 Honda Civic Wagon Wagovan/DX
1988-1991 Honda CRX DX

D15B3

D15B4

D15B6
1988-1991 Honda Crx HF

D15B7
1992-1995 Honda Civic DX/LX
1993-1995 Honda Civic del Sol S

D15B8
1992-1995 Honda Civic CX (U.S. model)

The 1.6L you are speaking of, is the DOCH ZC engine, which was the more popular engine.

The only 16 valve D15Bs:
D15B VTEC
D15B
D15B1
D15B2
D15B3
D15B4
D15B7

You've eliminated 2 engines as they are not 16 valve.

Just posted the pictures to show, basically on that list its just the plain D15B Some dude told me this engine was from a CRX's is that right or no. The way he found that out was by searching the D15B and it gave him crx

your engine is the JDM D15B non-VTEC

with the serial number beginning with '2', it is most likely the OBD0 carbed version that has been converted to fuel injection - does it have a block-off plate on the head next to the intake manifold and just to the right of the distributor? - this is where the mechanical fuel pump was located on the carbed engine:
