Getting new alternator, witch one should I buy?

Since a time ago I had some problems with my alternator, so I decided to change it but I have some questions:

I found two online dealers, one sells a remanufactured H/O alternator at the same price that the other one is selling a brand new alternator.

Also I found an used alternator from a D16Z6 at half the price of the two alternators mentioned above, is it compatible with my D15B7?

is good idea to use an used alternator? if not, witch one of the two alternators should I carry, the remanufactured H/O or new OEM???

Thanks, Gummer.

i would say new OEM, but im also really picky and hate to spend money on a refurbed one and still have it crap out quickly b.c they messed up (ith as happened before on my moms maxima, 3 months after a refurbed one was put in, it crapped out)

Ok, now... the OEM's seller is asking me for the brand of the alternator and some pictures because he says that he has two oem brands for the alternator for that engine... the problem is that I don't have the oem alternator, it was replaced 2 years ago for a mitsubishi eclipse's alternator because at that time I didn't found an oem.

can some one tell me the brand that corresponds to my D15B7 standard and also get me some pics please

some update about my alternator and new question

the OEM alternator's sealer didn't have my alternator so I choose to fix the old one (the eclipse's one) since it was just the rectifier and the regulator, but now the battery light flashes each time that I high rev the engine, and if I continue reving it, it blows the regulator, the shop have fixed 4 times the alternator and it continues making that and they don't find any problem

can somebody tell why it is happening?? is it because the alternator is from an eclipse??

also I found a d16 used alternator, should it fit on my D15?? is good to use and used alternator???

Some model honda's use different brand parts on the same body style. the best way to see which was equipped was to your car, Enter your VIN on Majestic Honda's site and it'll pull the parts that come on your specific car according to the VIN.

the majestic honda's page isn't working, I'll try it later.

anyway does somebody know why the alternator is blowing the regulator?
and any advice about using used alternators?

Low quality replacement parts?

Perhaps they can't handle the current being generated at high rotations, a.k.a. RPMs.

Just a guess from an electrical guy.

That would be great if you got me the vin, if it is not to much to ask, cuz the local honda dealers don't have that kind of info because that model never was released on mexico.

And also today I found a used alternator but I'm not pretty sure that it's the right one, I could check the VIN against the alternator what I found
