2. Do you know what vtec is and how it works? Do you know that many other car companies have the same thing, but with a different name?

almost, but mine reads NO FAT CHX CAR ALREADY SCRAPES
you know you own a honda when it has 500 things wrong with it and it STILL runs fine, as well as having 200+k in miles. (my old crx was perfect example)
happened to me last night.... one of my buddies in his chevy truck passes me after coming up from 10 cars behind then says my cars slow, cuz he beat me...... i looked at him and said " ok, sooo your come from behind with a 10 car acceleration, pass me in the gravel on the shoulder of the road, just to beat me going a constant 60 makes my car slow....or makes your hillbilly hauler fast??"
his reply... "i still beat you"

Yeah i get your point, but they dont call it vtec...its a trademark. Honda = vtec

Right. But vtec falls into a category of variable valve timing. Its like me saying "I have money in my wallet", and someone else says "No, you have cash in your wallet." Same thing, different word. I understand where you are coming from though, just pointing out that the ONLY difference is the name they call it by.
