Hey guys,

I just bought two 6 1/2 door speakers to replace my two front door speakers, and I searched the whole forum and i can't really find anything. If you guys can find and post a link for a d.i.y or something like that for a 4dr 95 civic that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

step 1:
open door
step 2.
remove speaker grill by pulling on it
step 3.
remove door panel
step 4.
remove speaker

install is reverse of removal.

if your good you can actually do it with the door panel still on. just takes a little creative wiggling to get them in and out through the door speaker grill hole.

Yeah that's what i'm trying to do right now. The stock speaker had some kind of adapter. The new one i bought doesnt have that kind of adapter, but it came with wires. Do i cut or take off the adapter that's in the door?

It wasn't fitting because I got a 4 way speaker.. I thought all I had to worry about was the size of the speaker, not the depth =/ I'll be exchanging them next time I go there.

Or you can dremel out the plastic behind off of the pod. Normally you would cut the wires but they do make adapter harnesses but really there is no need to waste money on those. Reds and blues are the positves and brown and greys are the negatives.

yup. probably should have mentioned that i guess. when i did the 6 1/2 infinity components in my old eh9 i had to cut the back off the factory pod.

I have one speaker on an adapter and one soldered. The one with the adapter actually sounds better. But as they said before, sawzall is your the fixit tool for almost anything haha

So i can just cut out the back of the stock uhh.. holder? Since its too long the hole will allow it to go through?

Okay, I get that I can cut out the back of the pod so that the back of the speaker can go through, but where do I screw the speaker onto the pod? The speaker holes are further out wide than the pod.

The thing is, where I can drill the hole, there's not too much space to do it, and it might break the frame or something?

I was able to get two screws on and it works fine but my speakers came with little
adapter plates. Kinda frustrating but it works now. I don't think
you will break the frame. It's sheet metal so you should be ok
