CF hood or not?

ok i have a 00 civic dx and deciding if i should get the cf hood or not, i want a clean look and dont wanna do too much to make it look ricey or anything

heres the hood i might get

IMO, carbon fiber hoods on our cars bring attention to how large the hood is because it contrasts so much with the paint usually. In your case, I think it would look nice seeing as your car is already a dark color. Paint match that lip tho!

he won't have the lip if he takes the cf hood.

i honestly don't think its the right fit for you if you're looking for a "clean" look. and i think the vents look a bit ricey IMO

well giving him the lip gives me the excuse to buy the drift lip or a cf mugen rep lip

And I agree with the comment about the vents. I didn't see them at first. They do look ricey.

And yes maintenance sucks. Re-coating isn't easy, even shops say its difficult but it can be done.

Paint the lip, don't get the hood. It's so cheesy

I had a CF hood once. Got it stolen from me, and went back to a OEM color stock hood. It's an attention grabber.

CF maintenance?

i was looking at getting cf hood and trunk, what kind of maintenance does cf need? how long does the clear coat last? is it even worth it or should i just go black?

i wouldnt waste my money on that , i put one on my coupe a few years ago, it was ok, but they are so flimsy, and easy to break, just stick oem,

yes, i'm all for oem style cf hood,
but to each his own...
