i just noticed the bumpers aren't Si... where did the lips/fogs go?
Fogs are optional, I don't know about the lip. Maybe it got taken off and sold? Maybe it ripped off. He didn't say this was a brand new car....

I took off the "ORR" logo yesterday. It peeled off pretty easy. I don't know about the antenna, maybe the first owner messed up the original. I thought it was supposed to be that way, lol. The original window sticker shows the car had no options at all and there are no fog light switches, etc.

Today I bought some Meguiars Ultimate Compound and buffed the car. It made a big difference. It almost looks like new paint except for the stone chip spots.

I paid $6,629 for the car. It seemed like a low risk purchase. It wouldn't be hard to sell if I get tired of it.

The car drives great. I checked the tire pressure and found they were down more than 5 pounds. Now it actually handles kind of sharp. I had a 2007 SI briefly a couple years ago. The 2000 feels almost the same.

I've driven both quite a bit. I have a 2000 Si also and I used to sell Hondas...I prefer the EM1 over the new ones. I'm a B-series fan and I find the 6th gen body sexy!!! Your gonna love it dude...now lets get it boosted!!!

Great looking ride man! Keep her clean. I agree that a nice drop would have that thing set. =) Nice find, and welcome!

I looked at the antenna this afternoon after the comments that it is too long. I think it's the stock antenna and it telescopes. It was pulled out all the way, which probably gives the best FM reception. I pushed the inner section back down and now it's only half as long. I don't listen to the radio anyway. I'm probably going to replace the radio with a unit with a USB drive.

Mine is that long as well, but I've got it pushed down and don't use radio either. Just do an antenna delete; it looks so much better anyhow.

we didnt say it was "too" long. we just pointed out that it looked long and i guess out of the ordinary haha..

but yea, antenna delete or just push it all the way down. mine is all the way down and i can still hear the radio stations, at least on Guam. lol

Wow, really great start and as far as this "antenna issue" goes...
Simply, just push it down, though an antenna delete plate is great!
I have on my Si hatchback and its a lot better than having it pulled out...

I was at the auto parts store today and a clerk complimented me on the car and told me that he used to own a 2000 SI. He confirmed something posted earlier, namely that the car is supposed to have a front lip under the bumper. The car kind of looks like a guppy right now without the splitter/lip. He also told me that his old SI had a cracked lip and he bought a replacement from the dealer and Honda sells them pre-painted. So I went to the dealer and checked at the parts counter. They do come pre-painted but my dealer wants $374 for one. I'll check around online and see what I can find.

That's why it's called a stealership. BUTTTTT I think this car deserves brand new parts. Good find, please please keep it clean!
